Exersaucer

Today we put together Graham's exersaucer. We weren't sure how well he would do in it, since he needed to have good head support to stay in it. Well, he absolutely loved it. Actually, we saw how much he liked it when we went to pull him out. He just wanted to get back in and play some more. I think the thing he likes the most about it is that he gets to 'stand'. Lately he loves to stand up. I have a feeling he's going to be spending tons of time in the upcoming weeks playing in his exersaucer!

Mohawk

Who said you can only play with your babies hair if they're girls? Graham thinks he's pretty cool sporting his mohawk....well, maybe the second pictures says it better. His face looks like he's thinking, 'Mom...what are you doing to me?'

Busy Week

This past week Willa's parents visited for a couple of days. We had a good time with them. They got to spend some time with Graham and see how much he's grown and changed since Christmas time. He also had his first fine dining experience at Maggiano's. We went there with his grandparents and to meet his daddy for lunch on Thursday. He did great, the dim lighting and hush murmur of voices all around helped him sleep through the entire event!

Willa made her first cake since last July! She felt pretty out of practice, but was pleased with how it turned out!f

Spending some time with Grandpa!

So Sweet

Sitting Up

We continue to see changes in Graham each and everyday. He seems to grow so much just overnight. He's now able to sit up a little bit. I have to keep my hands on him for support, but he's getting more and more stable each time he does it.

Bellytime

Precious Moments

Everyday brings special precious moments that I get to experience with Graham. I love the smiles, talking, wiggling and everything else that comes along with this age. Today was a busy day as Graham and I went to the library, Kohl's and to meet Daddy for lunch. He seemed to enjoy his outing a good bit.

These pictures were taken this afternoon after multiple spit ups. I decided instead of continuing to change him every 15 minutes it would be easier to just cover him in a blanket. He seemed to think that was funny!

Swaddling

Graham likes to be swaddled when he sleeps. We have a swaddling bag, that has velcro on it to make it easy to swaddle him. The bag works very well and he usually stays in them, unlike just using a blanket. However, every once in awhile I'll go in and he'll have an arm or hand peaking out. Well, this morning I went in because I needed to get him up to nurse due to an early morning appt. that I had to leave for and this is how I found him. He was completely asleep and half out of his swaddling! I don't think he's quite ready to go to being not swaddled at night, because he still has some of his reflexes that would make it harder for him to sleep well...but, it won't be too much longer!

Smiles

Graham is so much fun to play with. He will get a huge smile and sometimes it seems like he's laughing with you. You just have to be careful if he's recently eaten, as sometimes he'll start laughing and milk will spray at you!

Cousins

On Sunday, Eric's mom, Cousin Tim and his family came to visit. We had a nice time with them, and Graham enjoyed seeing them again. Here's Kathleen holding Graham. She adores him and he's rather fond of her himself. In a couple of years she'll make a good babysitter when we go visit them in Indianapolis! ;)

This picture is to show everyone how much Tim loves cats! :) Sammy always knows who is not a cat person and tends to go to them. Funny how animals do that!

Wiggles

While I was pregnant with Graham we gave him the nickname of 'Wiggle's'. This was because he was constantly moving. This proved to be true during numerous ultrasounds, many nonstress tests and just the constant movement that I felt. This continues to be true today. Graham doesn't sit still very often. Here's a clip of him moving around. I wish I had sound on this, cuz he talks throughout as well!

First Play Date

On Wednesday Graham had his first play date. We went over to visit Francesca and her little boy, Matteo. Graham and Matteo were due two days apart but were actually born four weeks apart. They seemed to enjoy their play date, although this was about as much interacting as they did. I'm sure future play dates will be much more action filled! Us mom's had better watch out when these boys start crawling & walking!

Say Cheese!

Happy Sleeper!

Once again Graham was such a big boy last night. He extended his longest sleep stretch to a full 11 hours. He went to bed right at 7pm and woke up a few minutes before 6am! I wasn't expecting another jump in the amount of time he slept at night so quickly, but I thrilled with it! Here's a picture of him after waking up from his morning nap. He normally naps in his crib all swaddled up. He doesn't usually sleep very well in other places where there is any activity going on. Although yesterday he did take an extended nap in his swing...which was the first time in probably 6 weeks that he had done that! I'm guessing we're going through another growth spurt!

Three Months

Graham is three months old today. The past three months have seemed to fly in one sense, but in another sense we can barely remember life without him! He's doing new things practically everyday. He's full of smiles every morning and is becoming more and more interactive. He's getting quite big as well. His 6 month clothing fits him well. We don't go back to the doctor for another month, so we're not quite sure how much he weighs, but it's definitely over 13 lbs. Here's a picture taken today of him sporting his corduroy overalls. OH, and also since he's such a big boy now he decided to sleep from 7 pm to 4:45 am last night! That's his longest stretch yet, making for a very well rested and happy Mommy!

Bathtime

The past two weeks we've began to have a good consistent bedtime routine. Graham has a pretty early bedtime, mainly because that's when he's ready to go down for the night. He usually is in bed and fast asleep by 7:30pm. A lot of nights he is ready for bed over an hour before that time though. So, to keep him awake just a little longer so Daddy can enjoy him a little more, we have started giving Graham a bath every night. He loves his bath, so this calms him down if he's starting to get fussy because he's tired. He's starting to splash a little, although he doesn't quite realize what he's doing. Graham has also been sleeping well. He usually eats around 7pm, and then goes down to sleep without a single fuss! He then sleeps until 3:30am., when he gets up to eat again. He's then down until he wakes up for the day at 7:30am. It's amazing to see how he's growing & acting 'older' already. It was only a couple of weeks ago when he was waking up every night at 2am! It probably won't be much longer until he's sleeping through the night, although Mommy doesn't mind getting up just once a night!

Here's a picture before getting his bath. He's using his nice bath towel that has his name on it! He liked this towel a lot...cuz it's thicker & very cozy!

Here's after the bath...getting all dried off and ready for bed! :)

Brothers

Sammy is getting much more comfortable around Graham. He comes around a lot more and likes to be nearby when Graham is awake. He doesn't like it when Graham cries as it makes him a little worried, but he's always there to make sure everything is ok.

Smiling for Daddy

I wanted to take a picture to send to Eric today at work. Graham didn't want to smile for me, so finally I said 'Smile for Daddy'...and this is the picture I got! He loves his Daddy!

Roaring like a lion.....or a big yawn, you decide! :)

His serious look.

New Outfit

Graham has started to wear the next size in clothing, 3-6 months. So, he has a bunch of new outfits he finally gets to put on. Here is one that my next door neighbors growing up, the Heavers & their daughter Allison (whom I used to refer to as my little sis) & husband, bought for him. It's really cute and looks good on him! He's also holding the puppy dog blanket from Uncle Greg & Aunt Kathleen. He hasn't been too interested in stuffed animals, but he really does like this puppy!

Here's a picture of Graham on the move. He is constantly moving & wiggling....makes it hard to take a picture of him sometimes! I'm a little scared about when he starts crawling & walking...he's going to be in to everything!!

I love this picture...he's looking at me with this 'Mom...what are you doing to me??' look!! :)

Changes

Graham is changing so much with each passing day. He's full of surprises, that's for sure. He's just recently started to grasp his toys much more. Here he's holding two of his links. He likes to hang on to them and he will keep them in his hands for a fairly long period of time. He also will grasp your fingers and hold them tightly (watch out for your hair as well). I can now pull on his arms and he will support his head as I lift him that way. He is growing so big. Today we are putting away the remainder of the size one diapers as they really are too small on him. He is also getting too big for his 3 month clothing. I think he's surpassed the weight & length listed on Carter's brand...although he's still squeezing into some of them. It's hard to believe that our little guy has grown this fast. He's probably about double his birth weight at this point, although we don't go back to the doctor until early February!

Kisses for Mommy

Graham was trying to give me a kiss.....ok, not really. But, it made for a cute picture! Here he's wearing one of his fleece sleep bags. We absolutely love these. They make for the easiest middle of the night diaper changes. Very quick and no messing with buttons while you're half asleep yourself!
