Ready or Not...

Ready or Not...another baby will be here soon!!! It's hard to believe that I will officially be in the third trimester in just 2 short days! 2 days from now also marks the day that I was released from the hospital during my pregnancy with Graham...which for this pregnancy means that I've bypassed at least 4 weeks of bedrest!! :) So far things are going great and very smoothly. The doctor is thrilled and confident that everything will continue as smoothly in the coming weeks!! If I deliver this baby at the same time I did Graham then we have 9 weeks until the baby arrives. We're starting to get ready!! We have a crib, a double stroller, some diapers stocked up for those first few weeks, names are being narrowed down and a take home outfit picked out. Here's a picture of our two outfits...obviously, one is for a boy and one for a girl! Thank you for all the many prayers that have been lifted up for this little one already, and keep them coming!!

Ketchup

Graham has discovered a new taste treat...ketchup!! We recently let him try it for the first time and boy were we surprised when he LOVED it. So much so that he would dip his fingers in it and lick them...and he had always been a bit of a neater eater not wanting to get his fingers dirty. However, not anymore!! And yes, the cat is trying to help him eat his lunch. We don't always allow the cat to sit there, however sometimes we give in and they entertain each other very much!

New Storage

We decided about a month ago that it was time for us to find a storage solution to all of Graham's books and smaller toys. It was getting a bit out of hand to have them lying on the floor, so we found the perfect bookcase for them. Even though they all seem to be pulled from the bookcase everyday, they at least have a home to be returned to. Graham has been taught that he is not to touch any books on the top shelf and has done a pretty good job in following that! Notice who else has found a home in the new bookcase!! :)

Potty Time!!

About a month ago we decided to make a big purchase for Graham...his own personal potty chair!! I had planned on introducing this around 18 months, however with the new baby coming we decided to introduce it a little sooner. For a couple of weeks he did great sitting on his chair every morning & evening. Now, he's fighting it a bit more and we're not pushing too much. On Jan. 31, he used his chair for the first time!! He seemed a little unsure about that...actually he acted a little worried that he had actually gotten his chair dirty! We assured him it was WONDERFUL!! :) Next up....cotton underwear w/plastic covers this summer!!

These couple of pictures were taken one evening when Graham decided to bring his chair out to the living room. He does this on occasion, so whenever he does we allow him to sit on it! He was being a little goofy as you'll see!

Little Helper

I like to have Graham help out with tasks that he can assist with. Some tasks he's able to do with a little guidance, and other tasks he's more a 'watcher' than a participant. However, I believe that just having him there watching is a good learning experience and we will increase the amount of tasks that he can do when he's able to. One such task that he loves to 'help' with is washing dishes. Right now he can't do too much to assist, but he loves to work alongside his Mom! He helps me stack them up on the counter to dry...and then restack them! :) Here's a couple of pictures of him helping recently. Don't worry...we don't leave his side while he's standing on the chair!

Being Silly with Daddy!

Graham still loves bathtime. Many evenings I'll be busy in the kitchen while he's getting his bath and I'll hear laughter erupt from the bathroom. Graham & Daddy have lots of fun! Usually it's because Graham's duck likes to 'attack' him. Here's a few pics & a short video of a recent bath!

Race Track

Just a few pictures of Graham playing with his racetrack from Grandma & Grandpa Lowery. He plays with this frequently....and the cat actually seems to like it a lot as well. It gives hours of enjoyment even though at first glance it looks rather simple.

And...a big cheesy grin for the camera! :)

New Outfits

Graham received a couple new outfits for Christmas. Thank you so much Grandma & Grandpa and Greg & Kathleen. We've worn them quite a few times already and hope to get much more use out of them!!

Here's the cute outfit from Greg & Kathleen. It has a little firetruck on it and Graham LOVES that. So much so that when this shirt is in his laundry basket he will pull it out and carry it around the house. He'll point out the fire truck to me and say 'vroom, vroom'! Please keep in mind that Graham was sick when these pictures were taken...so, he doesn't look quite as peppy as normal!

Graham shared his illness with his Mommy too! At least he's learning how to share, right? :)

His outfit from Grandma & Grandpa. He looks pretty cute sporting his blue vest. It almost makes me sad seeing how grown up he looks in these pictures. Although, Eric reminds me that we'll have a new baby soon. But, still...he's growing up so fast!
