Got Milk??

Graham saw his Daddy using this water bottle one day and decided that he wanted to use it as well! After that he was a bit obsessed with drinking from this bottle, so we decided to give him a special *treat*...we put his milk in the bottle! He loved it and thought it was great. It looks a bit funny to be drinking milk from this, but hey...whatever makes a little boy happy! :)

Little Duckie

This little dress is the exact same dress that I bought for my best friend, Laura, when she had her first baby just over five years ago. I absolutely loved this dress...my favorite color is blue and yellow duckies are super cute! My mom was at a garage sale and saw this dress. It was in perfect condition and she immediately thought it was one that I would love! She was right, as it was the same item I had bought as a gift! Here are a couple of pictures of Ellie wearing her dress.

First Trip to the Salon

On July 2nd Ellie had her first trip to the salon. She just accompanied her Grandma & Mommy, but it was still a good trip. This is how she looked when we left and she stayed looking like this the whole time! She even gained a new flower for her hair while we were there (not the one in the picture)!! She's our little sleeping beauty! :)

Fun in the Sun!

While visiting Grandma & Grandpa, Graham got to experience a sprinkler for the first time! He currently has a love for water, so this was a FUN experience. Graham enjoys playing in the water, however he always seems to want to drink whatever water he is around. Whether that water be a small puddle on the driveway, the cat's water dish, bath water or water in his cup, he finds a way to get a few sips! This was no different with the sprinkler. Half of his time playing in it was spent with his mouth wide open and tongue sticking out trying to get a few drops of the water! He had a lot of fun, even though it was quite windy that day and he was very cold afterwards!

2 Month Check-up

Today we took Ellie for her two month check-up....although she's 2 1/2 months now! The Doctor thought she looked great and was impressed with how strong she was. Ellie has grown a lot since her last appt. Here are her current stats:

Weight: 12lbs 5.5oz (75th percentile)

Height: 23 3/4 inches (85th percentile)

Ellie is also reaching all of her milestones. She moves her eyes to watch me, she loves to listen to her Mommy & Daddy talk. She watches her brother very closely, although she's not so sure about him yet. She holds her head up well, rolls over from her tummy to back and is beginning to talk a lot more. She has a sweet personality and seems to be very laid back. Ellie is very a content and happy baby! We love her dearly and thank God daily for the blessing that she is!

These pictures were taken just yesterday so they are very recent!

Say "Cheese"

While at my (Willa's) parents over the 4th of July weekend, we attempted to get a couple of pictures of the grandparents with their grandchildren. It was difficult to say the least!! The two boys, especially Graham, were not so keen on posing for the picture. But, we were able to capture a couple!

Here's Grandma & Grandpa with their granddaughters, Suzanne & Eleanor:

I love this picture of Suzanne checking out Ellie's hands. So precious. These two are going to have a lot of fun together in the years to come!

Here's the best shot we were able to capture of Porter, Graham, Ellie & Suzanne.

This is what happened a second after that picture was snapped.

Bragging about my Baby!!

Graham was always a decent sleeper. However, he would wake often at night wanting to eat when he was young. He would eat and then go straight back to sleep, however it could still be 2-3 times per night that I was getting up with him. That finally slowed down and I rarely was up with him at night once he reached about 5 months old. However, Ellie is my champion sleeper. I'm not doing anything different with her, although I am a bit more relaxed which could make a difference. But, she is currently sleeping through the night!!! Not just the 6 hours that they consider sleeping through the night, but she's doing between 9 & 10 hours a night without waking to nurse!!! Last night she had a bottle at 7:30pm, in bed and sound asleep by 8:30pm and did not wake until 5:30am!! Way to go Miss Ellie!!! Mommy is enjoying her extra sleep...although if I could only get myself into bed before 10:30! :)

Beep Beep

We had been casually keeping an eye out for a road floor rug for some time. We never seemed to come across one that was either the right size, in good condition, cute, or the right price. However, this spring there were garage sales in our community and I decided to pack up the kids into the stroller and head on out. We stopped at a couple of garage sales, I picked up a couple fall outfits for Ellie and then a lady told me I needed to head over to another garage sale because they had tons of kids stuff. Well, I walked up and the first thing I saw was this rug. I instantly told the lady I wanted it. It was perfect, the right size, adorable and in great condition! I then went on to get quite a few little boys outfits as she was selling all of her baby stuff and up to her son, who was now age 4! It was a great find...I made a new friend (as she lives nearby our home), Graham got a fun rug for his room that he can play with and we have a great start to Graham's fall/winter wardrobe for this year & next!

First Bottle

On June 12th Ellie had her first bottle. She had no problem taking it and downed the whole 4oz with no problem. Afterwards she did struggle with a lot of gas bubbles in her stomach that seemed to be upsetting her a good bit. It took us quite awhile to get her to go to sleep that evening. Since then we've been lazy about trying again. I'm not a big fan of pumping, and it's just easier to nurse her. However, we have an anniversary coming up where we'd like to go out on a date...so we decided to try again. So, Ellie had her second bottle on July 10th. Once again she took to it with no problem. She had 5.5oz and no problems from taking too much air!! Way to go Ellie (& Daddy who gave her the bottle!!). Now we just need to keep giving her bottles on daily/every other day basis and we'll be ready for our date night! :)

These pictures are from June, so they are a month old now....but enjoy none the less!

You Decide....

which of these two children should be using a pacifier??

Graham rarely took a pacifier as a baby, Ellie seems to like it a bit more than him although she's not overly attached to it. That could be partly because I'm not a huge fan of them and would rather not have to break the habit later on. However, since we pulled the pacifiers that we had out, Graham has decided that he should have them! He'll walk around with them in his mouth...even two at a time! ;) Eric got a kick out of it when he was walking around talking through the pacifier because he knew I really disliked when I saw toddlers doing that and now mine was doing just that!

Happy 4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend this year. We made our first trip with Ellie to my parents house, which is a 2 1/2 hr drive. Ellie did great in the car, slept the whole way without a sound. Graham on the other hand stayed awake the whole trip...both ways!! :) He did good though, looked out the window and talked to us a lot! At Grandma & Grandpa's we had a lot of fun. Graham played with all of their toys, chased around their two cats, helped Grandma in the kitchen, played with his cousins and got to play in the sprinkler!! Ellie did great the whole trip, she slept well while we were there and loved getting to meet a lot of people. She also made her first trip to a salon with her Mommy & Grandma!

Here are a couple of pictures of Ellie wearing her 4th of July outfit...she looks awfully cute! :)
